I am a 4th year Electrical and Mechanical engineering student. My current position at FastBlade is as a Control Engineer. I work in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems that manage various processes at FastBlade. 

During my six-month placement at Fastblade, I have been responsible for planning and executing control systems that are utilized in testing tidal turbine blades. Using Arduinos, sensors, and data analysis, I have assisted in the creation of control systems, selected appropriate sensors, and analyzed the sensor data. In addition to my work as a control engineer, I have also been involved in the web design of the company website. With my knowledge of web development and design, I have contributed to creating an online presence that accurately represents FastBlade.

Throughout my placement, I have been involved in several projects, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for growth. I have gained valuable experience and knowledge, addressing the advantages of using these technologies, and how they make control systems more efficient and effective.

Overall, my placement at FastBlade has been a valuable experience, providing an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practical projects, work collaboratively with experienced professionals, and contribute to innovative solutions that address critical issues in renewable energy technology. I am excited to continue learning and growing in my role as a control engineer and to make a positive impact in the field.
